Publisher Tips
Sometimes
you might want to increase or decrease the space between characters (kerning) so
try this. Select the text, then press Ctrl Shift [ to decrease and Ctrl
Shift ] to increase the spacing.
When
you draw a text frame in Publisher, you would normally be zoomed out so that you
can see the whole page. However, when it comes to typing text into the
frame, it's all rather tiny! Press F9 to zoom in to see the frame at 100%
and F9 again to go back to the zoom you where using before.
If
you want to quickly rotate on object by 15 degrees, select the object and then
press Ctrl Alt and back arrow or Ctrl Alt and forward arrow.
If
you are editing a story that is divided up into two or more liked text frames,
then it can be annoying breaking away from the keyboard to click the little
button that will take you to the next or previous frame. Try Ctrl Tab to
move to the next linked frame, and Ctrl Shift tab to move to the previous one.
Store
your graphics in the Design Gallery. To do this, select the object, to to
the Insert menu and choose Add Selection to Design Gallery... Type the name and
category for the object and make sure that you save the file because the object
is saved with it. To use the object, go to the Insert Menu and choose
Design Gallery Object... and click on My Objects.
