To
quickly convert text to All Caps, press Ctrl Shift A
To
quickly apply a horizontal line under a paragraph or text, press Enter, type 3
dashes and press Enter.
To
quickly remove any paragraph formatting that may have been applied to a
paragraph, press Ctrl Q
There
are some places on the Word screen called hotspots that you can double click on
to take you to certain dialog boxes:-
On the ruler to display the Page Set Up On the page number at the bottom left of
the screen to display the GoTo dialog. On a tab marker on the ruler to display
the Tabs dialog. On a paragraph marker to display the paragraph dialog. On your
header or footer to edit it.
When
you are working with graphics in Word, by default, they snap to line up with an
invisible grid.To see this grid, click on the Draw menu on the Drawing toolbar
and choose Grid. Tick the ""Display gridlines on screen"" option.
If
you want ideas for an alternative word (synonym) to the one you have typed,
right click on it and choose Synonyms.
This option does not appear on the right click menu in lists or tables. |
