Understanding how to use Power BI for data analysis offers incredible benefits to your business and career goals. We have designed our training programme to maximise learning and actionable results.
- Hands-on precision training
- Bespoke training options
- Engaging, expert trainers
- Excellent after-support
Our training courses are built to engage and train in an interactive, positive environment with hands-on elements to ensure you can practise what you’re learning and retain that information. You’ll also receive after-support once the course is completed so we can answer your questions as you use Power BI at work to continue your learning.
Power BI training options
Our training courses* are available as:
- Live online training - Interactive online training via Zoom where you can ask questions during the session, practise tasks and share screens
- Public training - Our Fundamentals, Advanced Power BI and more Microsoft training courses for teams and individuals from multiple businesses
- Private training - Our Fundamentals, Advanced Power BI and more Microsoft training courses for just you and your business
- Bespoke training - Tailored for you or your team based on your business requirements
If you were on our Power BI fundamentals course, we would recommend taking the advanced training a couple of months later, or if you were on the Power BI advanced course, we would recommend booking a bespoke training session to explore your usage in-depth.
*Currently all courses are online due to COVID-19.
Our approach to Power BI training
Our Power BI trainers Stuart and Alison have worked with Power BI since it launched in 2014 and are proud members of the Microsoft Power BI influencers group.
Getting insight from Microsoft and being one some of the first to know about software updates allows our training to help you get the most out of the software without any information becoming out-of-date - the training will adapt to software updates in near ‘real-time’.
Each training course is carefully planned, as you would expect, but also leaves flexibility to adapt to how you learn best and your requirements from the software. This is where our trainers exceed expectations as their experience and knowledge makes each course right for the attendees from start to finish.
What to expect from our Power BI courses
Before booking and attending a course, Stuart and Alison are available to discuss your needs and how your role and skills would benefit from Power BI training. This means we can build a rapport before the course and make any adjustments as necessary.
Once again, after-support is included in the cost of training so once you have had time in the weeks following the course to delve deeper into Power BI, you can get in touch for further help and for us to answer your questions.
Whilst other training providers of Power BI may offer this, what sets us apart is that we genuinely like to hear how you’re progressing and keep you on track should any issues arise.
Live online training
Our online training is really interactive and engaging with screen sharing, Q&As and the chance to try new tasks for the first time in the software with our trainers there to guide you. Available since the spring of 2020, our online courses are suitable for anyone with a computer and a good internet connection.
As we’ve adapted to the pandemic, we’ve found these courses to be popular and offer their own benefits to in-person training:
- Secure and password protected
- Interactive live training environment
- Learn from the comfort of your home
- Receive a video recording of the course to rewatch at your convenience
- Avoid additional costs of training such as travel or accommodation
If you’re new to online training, expect a warm and professional welcome and a highly productive, insightful experience. You’ll get as much from the training as if we’d been in the same room.
Unlike a webinar, we’re there live and if you’re brand new to Power BI and don’t have the software installed, we can even share control of our desktop with you to help the learning experience.
If you have any questions at all about how online training works, call us on 0800 0199 746.
Our public training courses are traditionally held in Central London where we present to larger groups of professionals looking to learn more about Power BI. These sessions have now also moved online as of spring 2020 but we hope to offer these in-person and socially distanced when it is safe to do so.
For a public course you can simply sign yourself, your team or indeed your whole business up if spaces allow and join us at the agreed time and date. These sessions also offer interaction with our trainers and a Q&A.
Both our Fundamentals and our Advanced courses are available to book as public courses and each attendee will receive after-support to help maintain and build on their learning.
If you or your company gets in touch with us, we’re delighted to offer bespoke or custom training courses designed specially for your business goals and Power BI usage. These are highly productive courses, typically in smaller groups, where we’re able to delve deeper into the specific functionality of the software that offers the biggest gains for your business.
Bespoke Power BI training is suitable for all from total beginner to advanced users, and we find it works particularly well for teams who have attended one of our public courses and want a more tailored approach a few months later.
Many attendees of our public courses go on to bespoke training - see a selection of case studies for more insight into how they can be incredibly beneficial.

Microsoft training courses can be designed to match your skill level and requirements and just like our Power BI training are engaging and excellent ways to help you meet your own business or career goals.
